Barbarian
(Redirected from Roar)
"Leap on top of your enemies and ROAR them away!"
— Former Specialized Adventuring! Description
Barbarian is a class.
Passive[edit | edit source]
Stamina[edit | edit source]
Tooltip The cooldowns of your Barbarian skills tick down an additional turn when you skip a turn.
If the Class Talent is active: Skipping a turn now also gives you Empowered Dice.
Effect[edit | edit source]
- When you skip a turn, your Barbarian skills all have their cooldowns lowered by 1.
- If the Class Talent is active: When you skip a turn, you gain 1 stack of Empowered Dice.
Skills[edit | edit source]
Leap[edit | edit source]
Standard Use[edit | edit source]
- Choose an amount of spaces from -10 to 10; move the same amount of spaces forward.
- If the Class Talent is active: After you move with Leap's standard use, Incapacitate all other players on the space you are on.
Event Use[edit | edit source]
- Use against The Bear!; move 10 spaces forward.
Roar[edit | edit source]
Standard Use[edit | edit source]
- All other living players within a 14-space radius of you move away from you to be exactly 15 spaces away from you. (If on the same space as you, they move backwards.)
- If the Class Talent is active: All other living players within 14 spaces in front of you gain Skip-A-Turn instead of moving any spaces.
Event Use[edit | edit source]
- Use against The Bear!; you move no spaces. Also, all other living players within a 14-space radius of you are affected as though you used Roar standardly.
- Use against the Demon Eye of the Archaeology Dig.
- Use at the Deaf Genie.
Break Free[edit | edit source]
Standard Use[edit | edit source]
- Remove Skip-A-Turn, Incapacitated, and Rooted from yourself. (Being Incapacitated does not prevent you from using this skill.)
- If the Class Talent is active: This skill's cooldown upon Standard Use is changed to be 6. This skill also removes Disarmed, Temporarily Disarmed, Disarmed By Darkness, and Cuffed from yourself. (Being Disarmed does not prevent you from using this skill.) Upon removing Skip-A-Turn or Incapacitation, Stamina also triggers (including the Stamina Talent if you have it.)
Event Use[edit | edit source]
- Use at Kinky Krystel's Traveling Dungeon's Kinky Krystel's Cleaning Dungeon to gain a Plunger, a Ball Gag, and a Dildo.
Secret Item Interaction[edit | edit source]

Playstyle[edit | edit source]
Strengths[edit | edit source]
- Easy to use.
- Barbarians can gain a decent amount of spaces with Leap.
- Targeted attacks on nearby players can be initiated with Leap or avoided with Roar.
- Roar can be used to force multiple enemy players onto the same space. If 1 of them has Pacman, Lightsaber, or to a lesser extent Sword, a death is likely to occur. A Paladin with a Holy Hammer can be used as a toy to knock nearby players many spaces back. 2 Paladins near each other can be forced into a Paladin Hammer Fight.
- Leap and Roar can be comboed to force players into range for an explosive such as onto the space of a Sheep you've released, and the Sheep can knock you forward while giving you Skip-A-Turn.
- Break Free prevents skipping turns and prevents being Rooted for too long due to Entangling Roots or Frostbolt.
- Skipped turns do not faze Barbarians too much.
- Roar can be used to beat Archaeology Dig's Demon Eye.
Weaknesses[edit | edit source]
- No skills for disposing of junk items like Jinxed Jewel Of Encumberment.
- Stamina does not synergize well with Break Free without the Break Free Talent.
- Roar can be used to stall the game, but Barbarian has no tools to capitalize on stalling outside of sprinting with Leap. Roar also has limited range.
Strategies[edit | edit source]
- Ample use of Hand Grenade from the ACME Shop or Explosive Sheep from The Engineering Shop can result in rapid space gains, and Skip-A-Turn from these can either be removed with Break Free or be used to decrease Barbarian cooldowns, esp. Leap.
- Leap onto another player and use items like Sword to kill them or, failing that, Roar them back. Teleporter is also a great option if you expect somebody to boost far ahead.
- Wormhole has good synergy with Stamina (esp. if you have the Stamina Talent.)
- If the Dr. Who reference event is chosen, you can get Incapacitated by Mammoths (and then Break Free to capture them) or gain Skip-A-Turn from Cavemen if you are female in the Prehistory.
- If the Interdimensional Portal Gun reference event is chosen, you can get History Of The Gear Wars from Gear World for synergy with Stamina and Break Free.
Dual-Class Synergies[edit | edit source]
Alchemist[edit | edit source]
- Alchemist's Holy Hand Grenade and Sex Bomb have synergy with Stamina and Break Free.
- Transmute can dispose of junk items like Jinxed Jewel Of Encumberment, covering one of Barbarian's weaknesses.
Merchant[edit | edit source]
- Merchant has increased access to Explosive Sheep and Hand Grenade for synergy with Stamina and Break Free.
Time Twister[edit | edit source]
- Not My Time yet works well with all Barbarian skills.
- Leap and Roar can be used to stall the game effectively alongside Bend Space, with Lock Time allowing you to stockpile resources. However, beware that other players with 2 classes that benefit from stalling can take advantage.
- This class combination is especially useful for Wild Mode: Racing In Reverse; many normal sprinters cannot sprint in this Wild Mode, but Lock Time and Leap can be used to sprint, and they have synergy.
