Standard Use[edit | edit source]

  • If used outside of an applicable event and on a space where there is a released Explosive Sheep or Cow: You capture one of them, removing the released version from the game. The Pocket Ball transforms into a Filled Pocket Ball with "a Sheep" or "a Cow" inside.
  • If used outside of an applicable event and on a space where there is no released Explosive Sheep or Cow: Nothing occurs besides this item losing 1 "charge"; upon losing a 3rd "charge", you lose this item.
  • If this item transforms into a Filled Pocket Ball then back into an unfilled one, its charges for this type of use are reset to 3.
  • If used in an applicable event: See below under Event Use.

(If spell protection blocks the Blind Spell, you don't gain a Curse, also you have an opportunity to attempt removing Salem's collar upon continuing.)
  • If attempting after the Collar is removed: You capture Salem.
Notes[edit | edit source]
  • Some events have a unique creature; if 1 is currently in a Filled Pocket Ball, has been sold to Ace Ventura in The Jungle, or if a player has left the game with 1 in their Filled Pocket Ball, it won't appear in its event. (Tarzan can still appear in events where he is not capturable. A creature used at the Libido Demon will appear in its event.)
  • Confirmed unique creatures include: Lolrus, Orly Owl, Yarly Owl, Nowai Owl, Gorilla, Giant Sloth, Ceiling Cat, Lolwut Creature, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Shadowfax, Tarzan, Goblin Potion Master, King Louie, Baloo, Predator, The Dragon, Jake The Dog, Salem

Standard Use[edit | edit source]

  • Choose one option (with the "simply release" option being available for every creature and with the other options only being available if the listed creature is currently inside the Filled Pocket Ball; with all options, the creature is released):
  • Simply release the captured creature, reverting this item to a Pocket Ball; if the captured creature was unique (excluding Tyrannosaurus Rex), it returns to its event; if you release the Goblin Potion Master, you have a chance to gain Slowing Poison for 2 turns; if you release a Tyrannosaurus Rex, it kills you, and you start the T-Rex Global Effect (which returns the T-Rex to its event when it wears off); simply releasing a Cow or Sheep does not put one on the board for movement or for potential capture with Pocket Ball.
  • Baboon: Target another player; the target moves 5-8(?) spaces forward.
  • Bagheera: Target any player; kill them.
  • Baloo: Target any player; randomly give them either a Banana or a Lemon.
  • Bats: Target another player; the target moves back 5-8(?) spaces back if they are alive.
  • Bear: Target another player.
  • If you don't have The Bear! event queued: Add The Bear! to the target's event queue (with a 4-5 turn delayed queued.)
  • If you have The Bear! event queued: Nothing occurs besides the creature being released.
  • Black Dragonling: Choose one option.
  • [Drag forward]: You move 15 spaces forward.
  • [Crystalize]: You gain all 5 Magic Crystals.
  • Blue Dragonling: Target another player; give them 3 turns of Dragon Frost.
  • Buffalo: Target another player; the target moves 4-8(?) spaces back.
  • Cat Bus: Target another player; the target moves 7-12(?) spaces forward.
  • Ceiling Cat: Target any player; add The Interwebz! to the target's event queue.
  • Chewbacca: Target any player; the target moves 7 spaces forward and gains an EMP Generator.
  • Chicken: Target another player; the target moves back 20-26 spaces back.
  • Cow: Target another player; give them Skip-A-Turn and place the Cow 1 space away from the target in the direction that the target is away from you in at the time of release. During each of your next 10 Effects Phases, the Cow moves 12-16 spaces in the direction that the target is away from you in at the time of release, and any player within the moved spaces (but not the space the Cow begins each movement on) gains Skip-A-Turn. (During the 10th Effects Phase, the Cow leaves the game after moving.)
  • Crabs: Target any player; give them Crabs for 5 turns (non-cubus)/15 turns (-cubus).
  • Dark Umbreon: Target any player; give them and all players within 20 spaces of them 2 random Poisons from the Generic Poison-givers pool. Alternatively, give yourself the Blessing Of The Moon Buff until the next time you revive.
  • Flying Spaghetti Monster: Target another player.
  • If the target is alive: Give them 5 turns of Speed Boost.
  • If they target is Dead: Revive them.
  • Ghost: Target another player; kill them.
  • Giant Sloth: Target another player; randomly either they lose 1 permanent Speed or nothing occurs besides the creature being released.
  • Gorilla: Target another player.
  • If they don't have a non-Frozen Banana: The target moves back 8 spaces.
  • If they have a non-Frozen Banana: The Gorilla removes their Banana from the game, and the target moves forward 10 spaces.
  • Currently, the Gorilla will eat a Frozen Banana; this is an oversight.
  • Green Dragonling: Target another player; give them 6 turns of Delusion Poison.
  • Jake The Dog: Choose an amount of spaces from -12 to 12; move the same amount of spaces forward.
  • Kaa: Target any player; kill them.
  • King Louie: Target any player; give them Skip-A-Turn.
  • Kraken: Target any player; kill them and any players within a 10-space radius of them.
  • Lolrus: Target any player.
  • If they don't have a non-Soulbound Bucket (Of Water): Add The Interwebz! to the target's event queue.
  • If they have a non-Soulbound Bucket (Of Water): The Lolrus removes their Bucket (Of Water) from the game and gives them Skip-A-Turn.
  • Lolwut Creature: Target any player; add The Interwebz! to the target's event queue.
  • Mammoth: Target another player; the target moves 6-9(?) spaces forward and gains Skip-A-Turn.
  • If they have a Soulbound Bucket (Of Water): The Lolrus removes their Bucket (Of Water) from the game and kill them.
  • Mosquito: Target any player; give them Malaria.
  • Mummy: Target another player. During each of your next 10 Effects Phases, the Mummy moves (up to) 5-6 spaces towards the target; if it reaches the targets space, it kills the target (with you being treated as the killer), and it leaves the game. (During the 11th Effects Phase, the Mummy leaves the game without doing anything.)
  • Nowai Owl: Add a chat log message of an Oh Really? question with the correct answer of No wai!
  • Orly Owl: Target another player; add Oh Really? to the target's event queue.
  • Pig: Target any player; randomly either you add Falling Pig to the target's event queue or nothing occurs besides the creature being released.
  • Predator: Target any player; add Predator Kill to the target's event queue.
  • Pterodactyl: Target another player.
  • If the target is within a 10-space radius of another player (including yourself): The target is moved to the space of a random other player (including yourself) within a 10-space radius of them.
  • If the target is not within a 10-space radius of another player (including yourself): The target moves 5-10 spaces randomly either forward or backward.
  • Red Dragonling: Target another player; give them 2 turns of Fire.
  • Salem: Target any player; Blind and Incapacitate every player within a 10-space radius of them.
  • Scorpion: Target another player.
  • If they don't have Poison Immunity: Randomly either you kill them or nothing occurs besides the creature being released.
  • If they have Poison Immunity: Nothing occurs besides the creature being released.
  • Shadowfax: Target another player; the target moves 9-14(?) spaces forward.
  • Sheep: Target another player; the Sheep moves to the target's space and then randomly deviates 0-4 spaces forward or backward, then it explodes like due to a Sheep Activator. (Deviation forward is much more likely than deviation back or no deviation, occurring in 42/50 tests. Deviation backward and no deviation occur at around the same rate, both occurring in 4/50 tests.)
  • Snake: Target another player; Incapacitate them.
  • Stingray: Target another player; kill them.
  • Tarzan: Target another player.
  • If they don't have a non-Frozen Banana: The target moves back 8 spaces.
  • If they have a non-Frozen Banana: Tarzan removes their Banana from the game, and the target moves forward 10 spaces.
  • Temporal Bug: Target any player; they receive a random name from a pool matching their gender.
  • If you want to know a player's original username after their name is randomized, right click their new name and then click Show info. You can also tell based on the join order and player color since it doesn't change.
  • The Dragon: Choose any space; you kill and give 2 turns of Fire to every player within a 15-space radius of the chosen space.
  • The Frankenstein Monster: Target another player; give them the Sick title. (They do not have sex or lose Nice.)
  • The World's Ugliest Dog: Target another player; give them the Sick title. (They do not have sex or lose Nice.)
  • Zoidberg: Target another player; Blind them.

Passive Effect[edit | edit source]

  • If filled with Flying Spaghetti Monster: During each Effects Phase, the Flying Spaghetti Monster has a chance to release itself, reverting this item to a Pocket Ball.

Event Use[edit | edit source]

  • Use against the Libido Demon of the Archaeology Dig and have this item become an unfilled Pocket Ball; if the stored creature was unique, it returns to its event.
  • Show to Ace Ventura in The Jungle with a chance to sell an applicable monster and have this item become an unfilled Pocket Ball; if the stored creature was unique, it doesn't return to its event.
  • With Tarzan: Release Tarzan at the Waterfall in The Jungle if Jane is there to receive a Banana, gaining the Jungle prefix to your name and becoming "the hero of the jungle"; this item becomes an unfilled Pocket Ball. (There is no in-event button for this use.)
