Deal With The Devil

From Board Game Online Wiki

Deal With The Devil can only occur randomly as the first Resurrection Phase event after becoming Dead.(It also cannot occur for a player who has less than 3 turns left to revive with the death turn counter at the time immediately before a Resurrection Phase event is selected.)

In the event, you are offered one of the following deals which you can either accept or reject:

  • Instantly revive and gain Devil's Contract: Revival Denial.
  • Devil's Contract: Revival Denial: Gain 2 turns of Denied By The Devil whenever you have a revival.
  • Denied By The Devil: Passively grants Denied. This effect can be extended.
  • Instantly revive and gain Devil's Contract: Demonic Kills.
  • Devil's Contract: Demonic Kills: Whenever you kill another player, they will receive a random Lesser Demon.
  • Instantly revive and gain Devil's Contract: Devil's Henchman.
  • Devil's Contract: Devil's Henchman: During each Effects Phase while you are alive, this effect gains 1 stack. When you kill another player, this effect's stack counter is reset to 0. When this effect's stack counter reaches 5, you die, and this effect's stack counter is reset to 0.

If you reject the given deal, the death turn counter still ticks down by 1 turn due to this event.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • You can only be offered a deal if you do not currently have the Debuff directly given to you by the deal. (If you had a related Debuff previously and it was removed, the deal can be offered again.)
  • You can only be offered the deal involving the Devil's Contract: Devil's Henchman Debuff if the game currently has at least 4 players.
  • Devil's Contract: Revival Denial activates on the same revival when Devil's Contract: Revival Denial is gained.
  • See Death Tiers for more information on effects like Devil's Contract: Demonic Kills and Devil's Contract: Devil's Henchman.
  • A Lawyer does not receive any downside from any Deal With The Devil.
