Deckard Cain is a subevent that can be reached while traveling in the Middle Ages or from the [A card picturing a wise old man.] option in Cards Of Fate. It cannot simply be a random event.

In the event, you can say [Yes] to gain the Deckard Cain Neutral Effect connected to a queue for the Epic Story Time! (1) event, or you can say [No] to simply leave the event, or you can show Cain your (Decolored) Decursed Cat Collar for some interesting flavor text.

In the Epic Story Time! (1) event, you learn 2 random Learnable Feats which you do not have, then you can say [Yes] to gain the Deckard Cain Neutral Effect connected to a queue for the Epic Story Time! (2) event, or you can say [No] to simply leave the event, or you can show Cain your (Decolored) Decursed Cat Collar for the same flavor text as in the Deckard Cain event.

In the Epic Story Time! (2) event, you learn 2 random Learnable Feats which you do not have, then you can say [Yes] to gain the Deckard Cain Neutral Effect connected to a queue for the Legendary Story Time! event, or you can say [No] to simply leave the event, or you can show Cain your (Decolored) Decursed Cat Collar for the same flavor text as in the Deckard Cain event.

In the Legendary Story Time! event, you learn 3 random Learnable Feats which you do not have and gain the Ni! skill. (You cannot show Cain your (Decolored) Decursed Cat Collar here.)

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Epic Story Time! (1), Epic Story Time! (2), and Legendary Story Time! all have priority over most other events.
  • If you have all Learnable Feats already and would go to the Epic Story Time! (1), Epic Story Time! (2), or Legendary Story Time!, you instead go to the Ugh, That Story Again? replacement event in which nothing occurs. (You cannot show Cain your (Decolored) Decursed Cat Collar here.)
